Captain Bug's Crew / 2025

As I had so strongly hoped in March of 2025 the second now annual Pixel Blue Animation Jam took place. This year along three other 2D animators and an audio student we were given the prompt "hidden gems". We decided to take the prompt a bit more literal and crated a story about a group of rag tag pirates hunting down the beast for his gem. After deciding on the concept of a Childs pirate adventure we worked on the story and visual development. I gave myself the task of writing out the script, after being given the designs of the kids it was really easy to imagine each kids personality and how they would interact with the world around them.
